Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – The Development and Export Bank (BANDEX) presented its results at the close of fiscal year 2025, highlighting a positive financial performance and strategic advances that consolidate its capacity to boost national economic development.
During the period, the institution recorded a net profit of RD$379.9 million, while the gross financial margin reached RD$1,332.1 million, representing a year-over-year increase of 14.2%. This result was supported by efficient management and a loan portfolio that closed at RD$11,504.6 million. This strengthening is reflected in a solvency ratio of 32.75%, significantly higher than the regulatory minimum.
At the close of 2025, total assets stood at RD$22,267.8 million. The variation compared to previous periods reflects the timely fulfillment of financial commitments, specifically the payment of facilities with scheduled maturity during the year, as part of prudent liability management aimed at optimizing the institutional financing structure.
A significant milestone was the capitalization of RD$2,000 billion by contribution from the Dominican State, which allowed BANDEX to increase its technical equity and placed the entity's subscribed and paid-in capital at RD$5,263 million, representing a growth of 61.29%.
“State support through capital contributions in compliance with Law 122-21 and efficient resource management is what strengthens our equity base and expands our capacity to finance productive and export projects that drive the sustainable growth of the Dominican economy,” said Catalino Correa Hiciano, General Manager of BANDEX.
