Ministry of Youth and Bandex sign agreement

Young entrepreneurs will be financed with projects that promote the development of the export sector

SANTO DOMINGO.-The Ministry of Youth (MJ) and the National Export Bank (Bandex) signed an agreement through which entrepreneurial initiatives would be financed for young people between 18 and 35 years old in the export sector who require financing for their projects.

With the agreement, which will be valid indefinitely, innovative initiatives will be supported, through the Dominicana Emprende Project (PREMDE), of the Ministry of Youth, which seeks to promote the creation of patents, and contribute to creating an entrepreneurial culture among young Dominicans aged 18 at 35 years.

The agreement, with which both institutions establish a strategic alliance to offer opportunities to the country's entrepreneurial youth, was signed by Luz Del Alba Jimenez Ramírez, Minister of Youth and Juan Alberto Mustafá Michel, Manager of Bandex, in an event held today at the headquarters of the banking institution.

The financing opportunities that Bandex will offer to support young people in the PREMDE program will be through funds received from the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), following the guidelines established by the country's financial and monetary authority.

Both Bandex and the Ministry of Youth will designate a technical liaison, who will have the responsibility of coordinating and channeling the entrepreneurial initiatives and proposals of young people who require support for their projects.

As established in the agreement by the Ministry of Youth and Bandex, it aims to strengthen the youth and export sector, granting financing from funds received from CABEI, only when potential borrowers meet regulatory and internal requirements. .
